The top two images are with glass Thousand Oaks filter on a William Optics 80mm SD refractor.
Next is using the Coronado SolarMax BF15 filter set on the same telescope, one exposed for disc detail the lower for prominence details.
The prominence images on the left are obtained with a Sky Watcher 102mm f/10 and the Baader Planetarium Mark IV H-alpha Prominence Coronograph. Withs central occulting cone (not focussed or centered correctly) much fainter prominences can be photographed in fine detail. These images had to be grabbed quickly before the clouds closed the 'Sucker Hole'. Setting up this instrument takes a while to get everything focused, which is a multi-stage process.
