The two essays are linked in the middle of the book in an interesting 'galaxy' shaped spiral, the text gets smaller as it reaches the centre.
Presented as a 16mm film loop on moving screens, the effect reminds me of my early days of B & W photography and cine film making.
Euan MacDonald was born in Edinburgh in 1965, graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1988 and now 2005 lives in Los Angeles. He works in a variety of media, including drawing and video, and has exhibited in numerous exhibitions internationally, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York and the 2004 Seville Biennial.
